The population of Adrianople is a mix of Turks, Greeks, Jews, and Armenians. However, all the trade, commerce, and banking are controlled by foreigners. The Turks, it seems, are not very good at business.
The History of Adrianople
Adrianople has a long and important history. It was first built during the time of Antinous and later rebuilt by the Roman Emperor Hadrian. In the fourth century, Emperor Constantine defeated his rival Licinius on the plains nearby.
